The O’Beirne’s decided to convert a spare bedroom, that was rarely used, into a much needed home office for two. Our designer, Randy Iacone, CR, CKBR, converted the existing space into a stunning office that added efficiency and value to their home. With two fully equipped work stations, plenty of file cabinets, ample ceiling and under cabinet lighting and large windows, they now are able to enjoy working from home whenever they want.

Our fundraiser this month went well. We raised $2,087.00 which will be enough to purchase a couple hundred bales of hay for the horses in need.
We would like to thank Kim Fess for her contribution of two beautiful hand made quilts. We would also like to thank Pam O’Beirne for her contribution of an absolutely beautiful silk flower arrangement! THANK YOU LADIES!
Next year we will fundraise again - stay tuned!

Our new box trailer has enabled us to maintain our jobsites more efficiently! We are able to keep tools, products for the job, and miscellaneous items out of the home and in the trailer. Our clients seem to appreciate our new investment.

Remodeling Today magazine has selected our company for a feature article in their fall/winter 2008 issue. The article will be written on our recent remodel project in Annandale, Virginia.
Advanced Contracting, Inc., our design and build company in Round Hill, Virginia, transformed a cinder block dungeon into aesthetic multipurpose space fusing functional simplicity with classic beauty. The remodel, which encompassed the client’s entire basement, includes a 1,200-bottle custom redwood wine cellar, a luxurious bathroom with steam shower, a versatile craft room, a family room with an egress and bar and a spare bedroom with a Murphy bed. The electrical plan was extensive and includes custom recessed lighting and “structured wiring,” which accommodates music, Internet, and telephone and video independently for each space.

Monday October 27th we began a new Sunroom Addition with a full kitchen and family room remodel in Vienna. Here is the BEFORE photo.
The backyard swimming pool is gone! The addition has begun and extends off the back of the house and over the area where the swimming pool once was. Framing, roofing, electrical and HVAC are underway. Stay tuned as this project progresses.

For your GREEN information: Why flip a switch to light a bathroom or closet? Did you know that a sun tube or sun tunnel can shine down into a small interior space and provide plenty of natural lighting? Skylights are too large for most bathrooms and closets. The best and most efficient solution are sun tubes or sun tunnels. And most importantly, no electricity required :).
