For several years Advanced Contracting has been our go-to company for work on our home.  They have completed a number of projects for us, both minor and fairly major.  We have always been very pleased with the quality of their work. Everything is done in a timely manner and the clean-up has always been done to our satisfaction.  We trust them sufficiently that we had them complete our last inside project while we were out of town for two weeks.  We were pleased to return from our trip to find the place pretty much like new.  Patty and Randy are a pleasure to work with and are always quickly responsive to our needs.  We have had no hesitation to recommend them to our friends.  We expect to call on them again next summer for a couple of projects.

Thank you so much for turning my tiny old embarrassing hall bathroom into an architectural phenomenon! I had been so ashamed of it before, that I dreaded having company come over and use it. ( I had been so ashamed that I didn't even want a contractor come to look at it!) It wasn't just the size -- an uncomfortable and problematic two-by-nothing. It was so blah and boring and abysmally small, with old fixtures, poor lighting and crumbling tile and grout, which probably sent the message that I just didn't care. And then . . . a friend recommended Advanced Contracting, because she'd been so pleased with your kitchen/bathroom remodel in her own home.

 

Now I have a bathroom that I can't wait to show my friends! It's still just as small, but it certainly doesn't look like it. The new pocket door just disappears into the wall, instead of the way the old door swung out into the hall. And the floor-to-ceiling mirrors that flank the elegant new corner sink were a stroke of genius! The two wall sconces reflect as EIGHT, making my windowless bathroom deceptively bright and breathtaking. Everything reflects as multiples, making it seem that there is incredible depth even though it's such a miniature space. Your idea to build a niche of shelves right into the mirror was very bold, and I love how the tile in the niche and bordering the mirrors is matched to the accent tile in the shower. Oh, that shower! My old frosted glass (which hid an unsightly shower enclosure) is now completely clear glass, and the stunning tile design beyond is eye-catching and ties the whole bathroom together. I must compliment you also on the tradesmen who work for you. They were all highly skilled, polite, friendly and trustworthy. You and your workers did an amazing job, and I couldn't be happier! And thank you again for a superb design and execution. Thanks especially for how well you both stayed in touch with me every step of the way, calling frequently and visiting the job site often. I hadn't expected that, and you made me feel valued and important. I'm recommending Advanced Contracting to all my friends!

 

My only concern now is for the health of my friends when I host parties. When they need to use my bathroom, and slide the pocket door open, they are bound to be so taken aback by the dramatic reflections before them that they will forget why they're in there in the first place!

Advanced Contracting is a local, family owned business. They have done remodeling projects in my home, including a home office, kitchen backsplash and custom carpentry. They also did a master bath remodel, and some exterior stone work. The quality of their work is excellent and I have recommended them several times over the past seven or eight years.

I am a repeat customer. That is probably the best way to praise ACI and their project management, and craftsmanship. Before I selected ACI the first time I did a great deal of research to determine if they were a responsible firm. In this area, the hardest part of a remodeling job is finding a responsible contractor who is going to do the work right the first time and still be there in case the are any issues after the work is complete. I checked out ACI with the BBB. When I talked to the lady at the BBB she told me there were no complaints against ACI. I said, "that is kind of unusual for a contractor." Her reply was, "that is very unusual." I asked ACI and received a list of references. I made many phone calls and also went to visit some of ACI's jobs and was thoroughly impressed. My first job was a bathroom remodel and an upgrade/ finish of my laundry room and utility room. Randy worked with me during multiple planning meetings to ensure that what I wanted was translated into plans. Randy listened to my ideas and also offered his suggestions, some of which I incorporated into the plans some I did not but I always appreciated the sounding board that Randy provided. I then received a set quote and contract for the work. One of the things I disliked about other contractors was that they never seemed willing to give me a set price for a project but wanted to set up the work on an hourly basis. I found that the material was excellent, the workmanship was even better. During construction, the workers always respected the fact that they were working not in my house but in my home. After construction, I needed some follow-up work due to an equipment failure. The response was immediate with no delays due to other work or asking me to wait. For my second job, I had extensive woodwork done throughout the entire house and did not look to any other remodeler except ACI. Randy again met multiple times to listen to my ideas, offer suggestions and then constructed five mock-ups throughout the house to ensure what I wanted on paper was going to look good in my house. This second project is finishing up and the work again is first rate. I really enjoy working with ACI. There is ALWAYS someone at the other end of the phone or email. They constantly communicate with you by updating their schedule posted at your house to weekly meetings to a notebook left at the house for you to communicate daily with your work crew. I found that my work crew was always friendly, very cooperative, explained why they were doing things the way that they did and offered suggestions to make the job even better. If I have another project for my house, I will continue to be a repeat customer.

Advanced Contracting is the most professional and customer-oriented company we have ever had the privilege to work with. They know exactly what they’re doing, they price it right the first time, they stick to their schedule, the quality of design and materials are unsurpassed, and they kept us informed on every detail no matter how minute. They have excellent people, communication, and process skills. Our only regret is that we didn’t discover Advanced Contracting when we first moved into our new home and began additional upgrades to various rooms. Having Advanced Contracting do the work as opposed to other local companies would have made the earlier upgrades completed prior to finding this excellent local, small business, as good as the home office, lighting upgrades, kitchen upgrades, wine cabinet, and bathroom remodeling they did this year.

We expect to have them back next year for additional home upgrades.
